Full-Text Search (Search 2 of 3)
|
The Full-Text Search is the second search type. It is used to find text across all notes. If you enter a search word that is not a title in the quick search field, it will turn black to indicate that the title is unknown and you are ready for a full-text search. All you have to do to perform a full-text search is press Ctrl+Space (or Enter as long as the quick search is black) The results of the full-text search will be shown in a special mode (see the 'Search all notes' image at bottom right). You may enter additional search words to improve the search. The 50 best results will be shown, and you can view a preview of the results in the window to the right. The search-word(s) will be automatically highlighted and scrolled into view. Double-click a result or press Enterto open a note, or press Escape to return to the quick search normal mode. |

See also Usability: Full-text search for more information.
The preview will automatically highlight and move focus to the main search word so that you quickly locate what you're looking for.
