PpcSoft iKnow features
Hyperlinks
The most powerful feature of PpcSoft iKnow is autolinks, but you may also insert ordinary hyperlinks to web pages, images, mail, files or other notes. Hyperlinks are blue while autolinks are red to easily tell them apart.
Hyperlinks are very powerful, and very flexible (especially combined with autopreview)
- link to notes, files, web pages
- preview images
- preview captured snapshots from the web
- preview web pages (downloads the text)
- preview links to text files
A hyperlink consist of two parts:
- a title
- a link
The title is what will be shown in the text. The link is what the title links to.
Example links:

If you link to files/images located in subfolders from where your datafile is stored, the links will be stored as relative links and will therefore work if you copy the data (including the subfolders) to a different computer/location. All images you paste into iKnow will be stored in a subfolder 'images' and is therefore stored as a relative link.

Linking images to notes
If you paste an image into iKnow, you may use it as a link to a note and show the image.
This can be very useful as the image is shown in the SplitView area (and when moving the mouse over the link) and may make it easier to quickly recognize a link.
